The Khamyang Story

Synopsis

The Khamyang Story follows the fading echoes of the Khamyang language, spoken by a tiny Tai-origin community in Assam. At its heart is 83-year-old Bhogeswar Thomung, the last person alive who can fully read, write, speak, and understand the language. As modern life erases generational memory, the film becomes a haunting portrait of cultural extinction, identity, and the desperate race to preserve a disappearing world before it falls silent forever.
