Synopsis

Set at the Dargah of Sufi saint Hazrat Balapeer along a Gujarat highway, Nina Sabnani’s ethnographic documentary Thank You Many Times (2013) explores the unique ritual where devotees donate wall clocks to the shrine upon having their prayers answered. Drawing visitors from all walks of life, the film captures how mass-produced, mechanical clocks are transformed into sacred symbols of personal stories, gratitude, and timely fulfillment.
