What is the biography of a street? Parliament Street needs no introduction, its name itself signifying what it stands for, the beacon of democracy. A street that has historically seen democracy and dissent in equal parts. A street that recently saw the energy of youth protests and reminded the world that it has been a witness to the ups and downs of Indian history.
Can you tell the biography of a street only by its institutions or can a street also be a home to iconoclasts of their time? This is a film that tries to answer. Parliament Street is about public memory, personal memories and history as it unfolded on a street of national importance. The street also houses a monument, small and big shops, institutions and landmarks like the All India Radio.
