Going Solo

Synopsis

Renu (58) accompanies her son to buy a bicycle and ends up getting one for herself. Gareema (44) starts cycling with the aim of losing weight, but ends up finding her identity. Starting with short 10 kilometre cruises, they swiftly move to grueling 100 kilometre rides and slowly transform into full-fledged endurance cyclists. Now, their grit and determination will be put to the ultimate test, in the London-Edinburgh-London (LEL) cycling challenge, which no Indian woman had ever conquered. With 1500 Kms to be covered in just 6 days, Gareema and Renu will have to fight the weather, the terrain and their own demons to stay put on their saddles. 'Going Solo’ follows the inner and outer journeys of these two Indian women, as they pedal on, day and night, to reclaim a part of their own selves.
