Redlight to Limelight
Synopsis
The film follows a group of young children who are weaving stories with mothers through their video production unit to cultivate a meaningful change in the lives of a community of sex workers in a Kolkata brothel. They embark on making a new short fiction which is entwined between memories and actuality and takes them through a catharsis when they premiere the film for a public screening. With the joy of storytelling, artful voices make the grimy universe a liberating space of self-assertion.
