Synopsis
In the shadow of the Aravali Hills, near Jaipur, lies Sarjoli - a village where women's hands are rarely still, occupied with home-based textile work - carpet weaving, stitching, or stone polishing.
Among them is Seema, who arrived in Sarjoli as a young bride.
Defying norms, Seema pursued education after marriage, completing double graduation and an MA. Today, she works as a teacher, is part of a Child Friendly community program and is looked upon as a leader in the village. From being nominated to stand for Panchayat elections, to being the first woman in the village to drive a scooter, Seema's story is one of inspiration and paying it forward.
