Synopsis
Set in the year 2000 against the rain-swept backwaters of Vypin, Paradise Fall is a poignant exploration of faith, scepticism, and the human inclination to manufacture miracles. The story centres on Jose, a staunch rationalist and part-time carpenter, and his devout friend Simon. While Jose’s wife, Maria, is finally seven months pregnant after years of waiting, the two friends remain divided: Simon views the pregnancy as a divine gift, while Jose credits medical intervention.
