Synopsis

In a remote village suffering from a severe drought, the locals believed their plight was caused by a demon lurking in the nearby forest. This demon, however, was no ordinary creature; she yearned to become human and live peacefully among the villagers. Despite her wishes, the villagers shunned her, performing rituals and making offerings to banish her and restore water to their land. One evening, during a grand ritual at the dry riverbed, the villagers gathered to make their offerings. As they began, a mesmerizing melody filled the air, and a radiant fairy emerged from the dark forest. The villagers were captivated by her enchanting music, and the forest echoed with applause and laughter. However, amidst the celebration, a mask fell, revealing the fairy to be the demon in disguise. The villagers, filled with anger and betrayal, attacked her with spears and arrows, driving her away. Heartbroken, the demon fled and leaped into a dry well, hiding from their wrath. As she wept, her tears filled the well and overflowed, transforming into a magnificent waterfall. From that day forward, the village was blessed with an abundant water supply, and it is believed that the demon’s sorrowful tears continue to flow, providing life-giving water to the once-parched village.
